What’s your stage name and where are you from?
My stage name is Fee the Evolutionist, and I’m from Nashua, NH, also known as Gate City.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
Fee is my real last name, and the Evolutionist reflects how I’ve been rhyming since 1986, witnessing the culture evolve while evolving with it.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
In 2021, I was awarded the Best of New Hampshire award by NH Magazine for my musical contributions to the community.
In 2022, I won first prize for Best R&B/Hip Hop Song in the prestigious New England Songwriting Competition.
Most recently, I took home the 2022 New England Music Award for Rising Star: New Hampshire.

Dope boom bap conscious hip hop.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Working with other artists and producers remotely is always a challenge, but you just need to be clear in what it is that you are trying to accomplish.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I would like to collaborate with Bobby J from Rockaway and producer Ned.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I would like to perform at more festivals.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
To record a project with a live band and tour.
