What’s your stage name and where are you from?
Jay Gudda. I’m from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
I was Jay Gudda before any human ever said I was, including me. I live and learn more about my story every day. I remember my username was JayGudda3Fly on goldmic.com back in 2002 or 2003.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I love music. I love hip hop. I can do this.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I created my latest track yesterday. I experienced another dance with my thoughts and my emotions. Sometimes the lines get blurred between musing, releasing, and creating.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I don’t think about this much. I just want to be myself. Hopefully that conveys authenticity, self-awareness, transparency, ownership, passion, etc.
Behind the Music
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
If production becomes too challenging, sometimes that tells me the song I’m working on isn’t “meant to be.” So I often re-write or use unreleased lyrics for something new.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Lil Wayne. He’s the G.O.A.T. I also want to collaborate with CocoRosie, Ricky Hil, and Estee Nack.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I can see myself releasing an EP within the next year… XXXX

I will release more music in 2024 than any year before…. XXXX
