What’s the story behind your stage name?

I used to go by Toxic Tony until I realized that I wanted to not play as much of a character and be myself so I just shortened my real name.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

My music journey has been a long one. I have really taken time to try and reach a level of mastery with writing and production. I reached a level now where I believe it’s time to actually show the world.

Fan Engagement

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

While recording my song FIYTB. I made it as a joke then posted a snippet to Snapchat, and everyone swiped up begging me to drop it. It only had half of a verse at that point so I had to rush the rest out.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

Ultimately I want to give people who are dealing with the pressures of everyday life comfort in knowing they are not alone. I also want people to think critically about the media they consume and how it affects them.

Behind the Music

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

When I was recording my most recent album I would stay up all night making beats and writing. This led me to losing my job at the time, sending me into a dark place. I overcame by gaining a positive outlook on the situation. This allowed me to finish the songs and flesh out what I wanted this project to be.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Right now I would love to collaborate with Kenny Beats. I feel like he is such a versatile producer not only would I learn a lot but I think we could make some amazing things.

Future Aspirations

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I want to be a full-time artist next year. I want to tour either headlining or supporting it doesn’t matter to me.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

The next big step right now is increasing my online presence then transitioning that to the real world.
