What’s the story behind your stage name?
Since I was young everyone would call me griffey. After being in the studio people would always say I know how to put the pen to the paper. So I called myself Pen Griffey
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I have always freestyle with by friends since I can remember. About a year ago a producer asked me to come in a studio one day and said he hasn’t heard anything like this in a long time. Since then i been polishing my talents.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
After hearing the beat I contacted the beat maker the allow be to use it. The song took my 30 minutes to make and it was the first time I ever did a song over a beat like this. I sent it back to the beat maker and he sent it back to me mixed. I just wanted to hear what he thought to come to find out he was 16 and it was one of his first beats.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
That there is more to life if you change the way you look at things.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
Challenge I faced was finding people to work with, beats, production. After giving them a inside of the process of making the songs and how they turned out they were pleased to work with me. They continue to ask what I need to future my music career.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I would like to work with young thug or kodak black because of the versatility and the type of vibe that is given from their lyrics in each song

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
To continue to make great music and make my first performance on stage

To grow my fan base to show there are still good hiphop artist with a different vibe of music.
