I’m TC23, from Preston living in Toronto

What’s the story behind your stage name?

TC represents myself as it’s my initials. 23 represents my closest people.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

Music has always been my passion. I’m accustomed to hardships and wanted a way to express my feelings, possibly helping those going through a similar situation. So I started spitting bars in 2019 and never looked back.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I recorded City of Dreams in my mates living room no equipment just a microphone and some speakers.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

Don’t let your situation define you, always keep fighting through the struggle.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Time balancing. Sometimes it’s easy to focus solely on the music. As I’ve evolved I understand there needs to be layers to the content. I’ve missed key opportunities to film dope shit because I’ve been too focused on the tunes.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Unfortunately this artist is no longer with us however I’d have loved to collaborate with Mac Miller. The way he sees the world and composes it into a song is second to none. One of my biggest inspirations. Plus the session would’ve been so fun.

Hopefully all over the world
