What’s your name and where are you from?
‘The Inglorious Poet’ and I’m from Bristol, UK.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
It actually came to me in a dream. So I believe that my brain subconsciously stored it due to one of my favourite films being Tarantino’s ‘Inglorious Basterds’.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
Initially, it took some time for me to gather the courage to showcase my artistry. However, once I shed the burden of others’ opinions, a wave of liberation propelled me forward, fully immersed in crafting music. Yet, this journey has only just begun, and I’m committed to making waves in the industry for years to come.
Fan Engagement
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I was struggling to come up with an idea for the artwork, so a friend told me to use AI and that helped developed the sketch in the middle of the artwork which shows a human brain with a Roman Palace within in. This idea is due to me saying the bar in the song.. “I stay grateful, so the dome I roam a Roman Palace”.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
Real life problems, struggles, troubles and that we can overcome all of them with the right mindset and action. Also that with hard work & dedication, anything is possible.
Behind the Music
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I actually wrote a whole album and was due to be my best work in my opinion, how ever I had a falling out with the producer after helping him in so many areas.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
Immortal Technique or Common. Been a fan of both for years & love the conscious bars or truth spitting bars the most and these dudes both class with it.
Future Aspirations
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
Just growth & onto bigger stages, possibly international within the next year.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
Finishing my next 2 studio albums, as there’s some absolute bangers in there.
