What’s the story behind your stage name?
I have always loved gangster movies and history. Johnny Torrio was a figure in the Capone era. I loved the name so I decided to use it.

It has been a major learning experience.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
This track was a struggle for me. I had to get the mix and master just right, but I had to keep going back and forth to remix it because I was not satisfied with the sound.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
That music can be fun, and that music can touch the soul.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
The mixing process and finding the right lyrics for the song. I had to take breaks and recharge my brain to get through it.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I would choose DJ Premiere. I would love to work with him through the production process and pick his brain.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I hope it opens more opportunities to reach more fans.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
I am looking more into sync-licensing. I want to license my songs for use in TV and film.
