What’s your stage name and where are you from?

Truth, and I’m from Denver, Colorado. But now live and perform in Las Vegas.

What’s the story behind your stage name?

All my favorite artists growing up has a stage name, so when I started making music I wanted to follow suit. I wanted something unique, and Truth always was the most important aspect of being an artist.

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

I’ve always been creating music, so the first step was finding a way to capture it. Next was improving and developing my craft. And lastly, it’s growing the fan base and audience.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

My latest track is The Rapture, featuring all of the best rappers in Las Vegas. It was a lot of work to get everybody together as a finish the track, but the effort was worth it, and it’s one of my favorite tracks.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

The message is the name and the motto. I just want to speak Truth and truthfully express myself through my music.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Beat making and instrumentals have always been the hardest part of making music for me. Lyrics and story telling come easy, but the instrumental side takes a lot of time. So finding and working with a team of amazing producers I trust has been a god send.

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I’m actually blessed to have featured my favorite artist, Redman, on a track. But to be able to sit and cook with him on a track at the same time in the same room would be a blessing.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

International. I’ve been touring through my region and my country the last couple years, and every time it’s expanded. My tracks are starting to stream and play well in other countries, so the next step is to take my show to them and give them what they want.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

The best big step would be to secure promotion sponsorship. Making the art is the easy part, but getting it into the people hands and ears can be expensive these days. So to get some partners on board to help me push my music to the masses is my next goal.
