Currently, in the studio, they are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and beginning a new era
The sister duo CocoRosie returns with their latest track, “Least I Have You,” marking a pivotal moment in their 20-year musical journey. Alongside the release of a captivating music video, the pair also celebrates a fresh beginning with their recent signing to Joyful Noise Recordings. This new single, described as the purest distillation of their artistic collaboration, is a heartfelt tribute to the bond between Bianca and Sierra Casady, grounding their connection in the tender lyrics, “if no one in the world understands, at least I have you.”
CocoRosie’s music has always been a fusion of the avant-garde and the intimate, drawing listeners into their unique world. With this latest offering, the Casady sisters lay bare the complexities of their relationship through a mix of combative sounds and a soaring, euphoric chorus. Sierra, with her classical opera background, and Bianca, a poet and visual artist, infuse this track with years of emotional depth, capturing the fragility and power of sisterhood. The duo’s fearless embrace of vulnerability adds a new layer of intimacy, turning cliche into something deeply resonant.
About CocoRosie:
With a committed global fanbase stretching across Europe, the United States, South America and beyond, CocoRosie has consistently released cutting-edge studio records and performed to sold out concert venues for two decades. Recording artists most recognized for their masterful poetry and timeless harmonies accompanied by lo-fi toy folly, classical instrumentation and genre-defying rhythms, sister duo CocoRosie continue to elevate their sound and art with each recording project.
Sierra Casady is a classically trained Opera singer and stage actor and Bianca Casady is a published poet, theater director and accomplished visual artist. Together the sisters utilize music, theatrical practices of movement and character study, fashion and contemporary art to create a body of work which reflects the beauty and sorrow of our collective experience.
Through radically subversive and highly developed conceptual art, CocoRosie utilizes irreverence and play to stand up for human rights and question social norms, often
playing with taboos. Widely celebrated, often misunderstood, and always unwavering, CocoRosie is a rigorously structured art and music project spanning two decades.
