Padre Tóxico is no stranger to dualities. Born and raised in Poland, his ears were tuned early to the golden-era frequencies of 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Nas, and The Roots. But instead of anchoring solely in nostalgia, he let his curiosity guide him beyond the boom bap – into the ambient expanses of artists like Jon Hopkins and Kiasmos. This musical dual citizenship gives his production a signature balance: gritty enough to grab your attention, spacious enough to let your thoughts wander. Since emerging on the scene in 2020, Padre’s catalog has gained recognition across tastemaking platforms like Stereofox, The Word Is Bond, Indie Shuffle, and even “Sway in the Morning” on Shade 45. His collaborations include the likes of Awon, Blu, Reks, and Anti-Lilly, and now he adds Fly Solo to that expanding constellation of co-creators.
“Get Down,” released July 17, 2025 via MindSupplements Records and Artsy, feels like a slow exhale. It’s grounded in classic boom bap, but wears the haze of introspection like a quiet storm. On this track, Padre Tóxico lays down a soul-touched loop, and Fly Solo delivers verses with unforced clarity — the kind that sounds like it was recorded after a long walk or a moment of solitude.
