A born and bred New Yorker, The Musalini, also known as The Mu$, puts his lifetime in between the paper lines, and he is more authentic than the brownstones the city is famously known for.
The Mu$ never gets lost chasing what is currently trendy. He is a master lyricist who weaves through melodic grooves with an insatiable thirst, and he does so with an unmistakable and unique sense of style; which once again shines through on his new release Active & Attractive.
Since aligning with legendary producer 9th Wonder in 2022 for their joint album The Don & The Eye, and signing with the imprint in 2023, it’s as if a battery was inserted in The Mu$’ back. Since signing with 9th’s Jamla Records imprint in 2023, The Musalini has broken out at a breakneck speed. Four albums in a year, with esteemed artists such as 9thWonder (Don & Eye 2 which featured collaborations with Curren$y, Pete Rock & Shabazz Places), 38 Spesh (In God We Trust) and Cookin Soul (Mackaroni).
Now, The Musalini is back with a new project, Active & Attractive, which is now available. Active & Attractivefeatures production from his Jamla Records family 9thWonder & Khrysis. In addition to releasing his new project, Mus also released a new video for “A Million,” (produced by Khrysis) which can be viewed below. “A Million” is music for the hustlers and motivation for the players, with my G Khrysis on the boards” Musalini asserts.
Staying true to his roots, Tha Musalini is continuing to keep it playa; even as he preps for the primetime.
