My stage name is Antifungal, and I’m from Brooklyn, NY.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
It’s a play on my real name.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
I started rapping and playing guitar at age 8. I put years of work into mastering my craft. I’ve been writing and recording ever since.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
The most interesting experience I had while making the latest EP was on a track featuring an artist named Memphis Jrealla. We’ve collaborated in the past, and his verses always sound so out of left field until he finishes them, and we put it over the beat. Somehow it always fits perfectly. It’s like a puzzle that doesn’t make any sense until it’s all done and then just comes together.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I’m just looking to connect with my listeners and hope they can feel what I felt when I wrote it. I write about a lot of topics, but a lot of it’s just about inner struggle.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
My main mixing mentor became MIA, leaving me with the task of mixing and mastering my own music by myself. I put in lots of effort and did my best, but there’s still room for improvement.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
I’m shooting to keep collaborating with creative artists.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
The next step is just more writing and collaborating with more artists with new music for the year 2025 and beyond!
