What’s your stage name and where are you from?
My name is Ben Munro and I’m from Limerick in Ireland.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
I don’t have a real stage name but if I get famous, I don’t want to be hidden behind an artist name.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
Three words that describe my journey would be tough, change, positivity. My journey was tough, I’ve changed to be a better person and I make music to make positive memories out of the negative ones.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
I would say it was quite interesting how the song came about, I was playing a random chord progression and changed it slightly and the main guitar riff for the song was born. It was a little bit of luck but sometimes good things need a little bit of luck.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
I guess I want people to think more positively about negative situations because good things happen when you least expect it.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
I find it hard to produce tracks but for the remix version I had help from another artist who goes by Elpup on socials and he did a lot of the production on the Remix version because I had no clue what to do and another producer on the track was Billy Allen who made the original version better than just chords and a voice. Without them, the song wouldn’t be where it is.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
I would probably say either Ed Sheeran, Post Malone or The Kid LAROI, all because they have similar music styles and it would be really cool. Sam Fender would be an honourable mention in the collaboration list too.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
Hopefully it allows me to play more shows and gain a loyal fanbase to be able to do what I love most. I wouldn’t be here without music and I don’t think I could pursue a career in anything else.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
I’d like to release more produced tracks rather than the unreleased ones I have on SoundCloud, I have three unmixed versions out for songs but I’d like to get them produced to a better standard like the Pretend(remix) was.
Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
I’m on Spotify and SoundCloud but I’m usually posting covers on Instagram and TikTok too. My Instagram is @munro349 and my TikTok is @benmunro9
