What’s your stage name and where are you from?

Enon. I’m from Oakland, Ca.

What’s the story behind your stage name?

It’s my birth name. It’s a biblical name. It’s a body of water or river. A place where people were baptized. It’s the “word that flows”

Describe your musical journey in three sentences.

My journey is about free-flowing creative expression. It’s about my life and experience. It’s also about my future and the things I hope to accomplish.

Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.

I think it’s the revelation of what I’m saying. Sometimes when I get into a writing flow, the words just pour out and I don’t initially understand what it all means. I go back and breakdown all the thoughts and it all becomes more clear. It’s like reading a story and finding new meanings each time you read it.

What message do you want to convey through your music?

I want to convey love, freedom, and an expression that promotes coloring outside of the lines.

Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.

Sometimes during the production I have an idea of how things should be but I’ve learned that it’s also fun to let go of what was originally planned and explore outside of that. Things often come out much different than they sound in your head

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

I would love to collaborate with J. Cole or Kid Cudi. I grew up on their music and the heavily influenced my style, lyricism and subject matter. They’re so genuine and authentic.

Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?

I want to continue to experiment more with my sound. I don’t know exactly what that looks or feels like. But overall, I just want to allow myself to continue creating. I just don’t want to stop.

What’s the next big step for you as an artist?

I want to do bigger shows. I want to be in front of bigger audiences.

Where can we hear/watch your most recent work?
