What’s your stage name and where are you from?
Remek Kossacz. I’m from Warsaw, Poland, living in Oslo, Norway.
What’s the story behind your stage name?
Remek is short for Remigiusz.
Describe your musical journey in three sentences.
In Poland, I was a member of different bands like Gramine, Koman Band, Vox, and others.
I worked extensively as a studio musician as well. Later, in Norway, I played in bands like Kix (jazz), Too Hot To Handle (R&B), my own jazz trio, and others.
Share an interesting experience you had while creating your latest track.
My latest track was the first one with my friend and singer/rap artist Tracy L. Lowery.
This was a new, inspiring experience.
What message do you want to convey through your music?
Always be true to yourself musically.
Tell us about a challenge you faced during production and how you overcame it.
It required a lot of self-coaching, considering technical challenges and sound design.
I still have a lot to learn.
If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?
It would be Robert Glasper because of his skills and great musicianship.
Where do you see your music taking you in the next year?
Hopefully, my music will reach a bigger audience.
What’s the next big step for you as an artist?
It must be my next release, which will happen in April/May this year.
