What happens when a familiar Kanye West song gets handed to a new voice, a new beat, and a different corner of the internet?
There’s a particular kind of nerve in covering a Kanye West track. You’re not just stepping into somebody else’s song; you’re stepping into a conversation that already has years of history, arguments, memories, and baggage attached to it. The original is already in the room before you press play.
That’s the territory MPLOBeats and MNP enter with “Streetcar (Kanye West Cover),” released October 6, 2026, and marked approved for Folded Waffle on October 19. Distributed through DistroKid, the track arrives with a straightforward premise: a cover remix, with rap woven into the arrangement. English-language lyrics put the emphasis on the performance rather than translation, keeping the song accessible to listeners who know the original and those discovering this version on its own terms.
