Faaathom, born Malik Cumberbatch, takes his name from the nautical term that measures depth—a reflection of his approach to music. Raised in Atlanta before returning to his roots, he began crafting melodies at age 12, inspired by the soulful tunes of Sean Kingston’s Beautiful Girls. Now both an artist and producer, Faaathom’s music blends family ties and personal resilience. Co-founding his independent label Notorious Muzik alongside his father, Faaathom weaves his life’s current into his songs, allowing listeners to float along the surface or dive deeper.
