Recap: Hip Hop On The Bay

I’ve been hearing some incredible things about the Bay Area Hip-Hop Festival on October 3rd at Brooklyn Basin in Oakland. Even though I couldn’t make it in person, the footage and stories I’ve seen and heard have me feeling like I was right there!

From what I gather, it was a day packed with top-notch talent and good vibes. The artists brought their A-game, representing the Bay Area’s diverse and vibrant hip-hop scene. The energy was electric, and the crowd was living for every beat.

The setup at Brooklyn Basin seems like it was perfect. An open-air venue with the Bay as a backdrop? That’s something special. It wasn’t just a festival; it was a celebration of our culture and community.

The food game was on point too. Cut It Up Foods brought the flavor with authentic Mexican dishes. Tacos, quesadillas, you name it—they made sure everyone had a full belly and a smile on their face.

Big shoutout to DJ Mike from Hayward and DJ MattKila for keeping the party going. The mix of classic hits and fresh tracks had folks dancing from start to finish. And let’s not forget our Bay Area Folded Waffle Directors VerseBorn and Alena Sunshine for delivering the actual FOLDED WAFFLE treats!

What’s next? Well, I’m hearing rumors that we might be taking this vibe on the road! Imagine bringing our tribe to different parts of the region. That’s a move I can get behind.

From what I’ve seen, this festival wasn’t just about the music; it was about the community. It was about coming together, celebrating our roots, and making memories. I can’t wait to be a part of it next time.

Keep it locked for more updates and events. Until then, keep the love for Hip Hop and the Bay alive!

Much love,

Lanzen
