For the Waffle Fam who value “grown-person rap” and the raw essence of the craft, this is the place to be. This isn’t just a concert; it’s a showcase of the architects currently laying the bricks for the future of West Coast hip-hop.

The Lineup: Raw Talent, No Gimmicks

This edition of Return of the Emcee features a heavy-hitting roster of artists who prioritize message and craft over flash:

Monk HTS: A seasoned producer and engineer who has helped shape the Bay Area sound from behind the boards, Monk is now stepping into the spotlight. His debut project, Safe Travels, blends live instruments—trumpet solos, acoustic strings—with soulful samples, proving he’s just as dangerous with a pen as he is with a beat.

Sonny.SOUF: Coming straight out of Hayward, Sonny (which stands for “Sending Out Unique Frequencies”) brings a cathartic energy to the stage. Expect slick rhyme schemes and an authentic connection to the elements of hip-hop.

Know Expressions?: A self-described “Truth Messenger,” this emcee has been magnetized to the culture since age eight. He carries the torch for the pioneers, focusing on uplifting lyrics and weeding out the “wack emcees” with pure skill.

Jack Herrier: Based in Oakland, Herrier’s music is built on three pillars: Protect, Love, Flourish. His debut album EGOSYSTEMS explores the human condition, offering a set that is both critically reflective and sonically deep.

Nicofasho: Blending 80s funk nostalgia with 90s golden era boom-bap, Nicofasho has an elastic delivery that makes everyday life sound fly. He’s the bridge between the roots and the modern soundscape.

No Dj No Show.

Vinyl Selectors Dj Defkid1 & Mr. Universol set the Needle to the Groove with no filter in sight. Capturing the Various Blends and Styles Hip Hop has to offer, they remind us why Underground Hip-Hop Exist.

Vendor: BaysMostGifted
