“John Doe,” the latest single from Zafty, showcases his natural talent for finding the perfect cadence over any instrumental. Set against a backdrop of a 1970s soul-sampled beat, Zafty delivers a compelling narrative about chasing dreams, self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment. The two-minute track came to life in December 2023 when Zafty received the beat from Perth producer GLEE DEPOT. Within an hour, he had written, recorded (using an old Playstation headset), and sent back a demo. One week and an hour-long studio session later, “John Doe” was fully realized.
